Italian Olivewood Cookie

Estimated at 1200 years old, this Olive tree was planted by the Roman Empire in Puglia, Italy.  Because of the olive fruit’s economic importance to the region, olive trees are not harvested for lumber. This one had to wait to die of natural causes.  A rare opportunity to craft a beautiful piece from an ancient tree.
