Lumber sold by the Board Foot (bf)
As a utility hardwood, Poplar is a versatile and widely used wood in the United States. Though commonly known as "Poplar," it is technically part of the Liriodendron genus, giving it unique features such as tulip-like flowers. Used for pallets, furniture frames, and veneer applications, Poplar is a reliable and cost-effective choice.
When purchasing lumber by the board foot (bf), random lengths and widths are selected, but efforts are made to ensure similar color and grain patterns. If you have minimum width or length requirements, please note these in the notes section at checkout. To calculate board feet needed multiply length in inches by width in inches by thickness in inches, then divide by 144. For example if buying a 5/4 board that is 6" wide by 8ft (96") long the formula is (6x96x1.25)/144 = 5bf. For specific needs, contact us directly.
